Recreational Program
Our recreational program is designed for children who enjoy dance as a recreational activity. It is also designed for those just starting out in dance.
The Success Program
The Success Program is for the more serious student, who may wish to purse dance as a career. It is divided into five levels, by age and ability:
Level 1 - Pre-Professional Age 11+
Level 1a - Pre-Professional Age 13+
Level 2 - Pre-Professional Age 10-13
Level 3 - Pre-Professional Age 8-11
Level 4 - Pre-Professional Age 7-9
Level 5 - Pre-Professional Age 5-7
The Success Program provides children with the necessary experience and practice to help them with their goals. It gives them the opportunity to increase their self-esteem and confidence through performance, auditions, and dance conventions.
To be part of the Success Program, students in Level 1- 3 are required to do a minimum of three days of ballet per week. Students in Level 4 are required to do a minimum of 2 days of ballet. We encourage students to try other forms of dance as well, which enables a student to be a well-rounded dancer. We are offering a fourth ballet class, for students enrolled in this performance program, free of charge. All students Level 1 - 3 enrolled in this program are eligible to participate in the J. E. Hammar Dance Company.
